In August I wrote about what happens when life presents us with experiences that at first don't seem to be what we ordered. On November 3rd we had a flood in our home that is now requiring extensive repair work including a complete dismantling of my home office. I can't honestly say I am thrilled about this! But the process has helped me clear out 9 years of papers, books, and other objects that I no longer need in my work. Imagine my surprise when I found tax returns from 1998 in my closet as well as photos from the 1980's.
As I continue in my sorting process, I have the opportunity to evaluate what is truly meaningful for me and what is just stuff. Those priceless treasures that I carefully wrapped and stored in my garage cabinets are those that have personal history and significance, and full of energy. There are also papers, books, and knick-knacks as my John calls them that simply take up space. There is no longer room in what will become my new environment for anything superfluous.
I chuckle when I think that I was compelled to write my book starting Sept. 1st and completing it in late October just before the flood. Could essence see what was coming? Did it prompt me to get going with the writing so I would be ready, or not, for the next challenge? Probably so. Regardless, I am grateful that Spiritual Turning Points is safely at the publishers and that I can look forward to the spring and renewal while appreciating the beauty of this unraveling.

Notes from the Underworld
Scorpio. Pluto. Descent. Shadow. Purging. Letting go. Powerlessness. Power. All of these words describe the essence of what happens when Pluto comes knocking at your door.
I am not unaccustomed to Plutonian events and have had more than a few during my almost 56 years. They come as unexpected rumblings in the night, shocks that hit at the least convenient times, always leaving us stunned and then paralyzed, unable to move. No longer is there predictability and instead we find ourselves in survival mode as Pluto uncovers a nest of emotional "issues" that need revisiting, often through what looks to the outside world as obsessive penetration, rooting and digging into areas that we usually prefer to keep behind closed doors.
Pluto brings upheaval, and also heralds rebirth. After the release of whatever does not belong to you comes the regenerative aspect of this planet, giving the opportunity for the birth of a new form.
Right now Pluto is transiting through the early degrees of Capricorn so it's a good time to take a look at what if any planets you might have from 3-7 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and Libra for these signs are being aspected by conjunction, square, or opposition by Pluto during 2010 and 2011. Here you will see what area of life Pluto is seeking to transform and when you do, let go.
